My name is Jennifer Greenlees and I have a passion for being out on the sea and exploring our beautiful coastline on my stand up paddleboard. I previously paddled 75 miles from Portballintrae to Bangor in 3 days as a fundraiser for my cousins cancer treatment and Marie Curie. I also paddled from Donegal to Portballintrae in 1 day (5hrs) as a fundraiser for my friend who was getting cancer treatment. My most recent  challenge Bangor to Dublin was a longer stretch 100 miles all proceeds going this time to the RNLI this time. The life boats operate all around Ireland, North and South, keeping us all safe in the water. I am well aware of how dangerous the sea can be and think this is such a worthy cause.

For this 100 miles paddle board fundraiser I started in September 2019 in Bangor paddling shorter distances, harbour to harbour to get going. This was slow goingdue to unsuitable weather conditions and then covid travel restrictions. I completed the Ards Peninsula and the Strangford Lough crossing in September 2021. In February 22 I set off again paddling out of Strangford Lough keen to get this challenge complete. I made my way down to the Mourne mountains, past the Ballykilner shooting range and another crossing to do at Carlingford Lough. Here I hit a milestone which was very exciting for me as I have now paddled the whole of the Northern Irish Coast Line.

The last stretch from Dundalk to Howth I did over a few weekends, covering longer distances around 20-30km per day. I finished the last stretch from Balbriggan to Howth on October 8th 2022.

I am so relieved and delighted to have managed to get it all done!!!!

I have decided to keep going as I would love to paddle the whole way around Ireland and keep fundraising.

Please sponsor me! All proceeds going to RNLI.
