Spring is a great time to get into action and get new healthy routines going. A daily yoga and meditation practice alongside a healthy diet is a fantastic habit to get into!

Taking good care of yourself

People turn to yoga to become more flexible and get rid of niggling aches and pains. Yoga is fantastic for health in general both physically and mentally. But it also has holistic benefits that improves your relationship with yourself and when you feel good you have more time and energy for others.

Making some time for yourself everyday contributes to a healthier work/life/balance, enhancing all areas of your life. We grow as a person as we overcome the obstacles that get in the way of our daily self care.

It’s just 10-15 minutes a day, totally doable, you can watch these videos any time during the day that suits. You repeat Monday’s video on Tuesday, Wednesday’s video on Thursday and Friday’s video on Saturday. So you can have Sunday off or use it as a catch up day. If you can’t do all the poses don’t worry there is also chair yoga which is a good alternative if you have knee or hip injuries and sitting on the floor is painful and uncomfortable.

It’s equally important to relax, unwind and switch off so enjoy trying the meditation & relaxation videos. There are also fun new healthy drink recipes each week as well to try, to help you start the day on the right foot.

The password to watch the videos will be sent out just before the trial begins. Click the play button on the image to watch the video. New videos will update every Sunday night.

All you need is a yoga mat, blanket and maybe have a cushion handy. Candles, sage, essential oils etc can be used to add to the holistic experience.

Tuning in at the start of your yoga practice and tuning out at the end. As kundalini yoga is a very powerful form of yoga it is recommended to tune in to begin.

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo is the mantra we use to start our kundalini yoga practice. We chant this 3 times at the start of our yoga practice. It is a mantra for protection and guidance and it helps draw us out of our busy worlds to tune in to ourselves.

To watch the video it’s the same code to watch all the yoga videos which will be sent to you once you sign up for the trial.

Healthy Drinks Ideas

Try starting you day with Lemon and Ginger Tea.

Did you know that lemon ginger tea is one of the healthiest and most beneficial drinks you can have?

Lemon ginger tea can help reduce pain associated with inflammation, arthritis, and even headaches. Some people enjoy drinking a cup of lemon ginger tea to relieve muscle soreness after a good workout, or for relief from menstrual pain:

  • Bring the water to a boil and remove it from the heat.
  • Add a slice of lemon and ginger slice to the hot water, stir, and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Serve your lemon ginger tea immediately.

Tuning Out

This is how we end our Kundalini Yoga Practice with the Long Time Sunshine. Finishing up with the words Sat Nam which means I am, or honouring yourself. Following your path in life.
